How Ballintrillick got its name

The word Ballintrillick means "the way of the three stones." In Ballintrillick there are three large stones. Legend has it that these stones were thrown down the mountain by Fionn Mac Cool long ago and it is from these it gets its name.

Keelogues graveyard

In Ballintrillick there is a graveyard called Keelogues, and there is an old ruin of a building. There is very little known about this ruin but some people say that it was a monastery long ago. I found it very hard to find information on this
